Richard is still sulking, but we are back under sail, we were able to motor out of the centre of the High Pressure we were in and pottering in along at 5 knots.

Listening to the fleet, some like us are staying North of the Cape Verde Islands, and hope the SW winds are kind to us, and the swell, which is predicted to be 3-5 meters is kind too. We are a big heavy boat and should be ok. Some of the fleet, the smaller boats are heading to the Cape Verde island to refill on fuel as I think they have had a lot of motoring. Some are going that way as there is forecast for NE winds ideal for going west to St Lucia, but to get to them there are light winds ahead.

No day is the same without a trip up the mast, we seems to have a squeak, perhaps a cousin of randy the rat. So up i went with a tub of grease, found a halyard guide that was rubbing on it’s halyard, so a little grease and it seems to have eased. I managed to get to the top without any swearing, and back down again.
