We have managed to jam the mainsail in the in mast furling, Alison has been up the mast once, and I've been up the mast twice, but with no joy. We have managed to get it furled away, and now have only the head sail to get us to Madeira, well we are going to Porto Santo

We are 1 1/2 to 2 day away depending on the wind. I think it will be a day of repairs before any sightseeing.

So it's been a tiring day for all, so off watch and off to bed.
