Cape st Vincent

We just passed Cape St Vincent and have only 15 Miles to run to Lagos. Not a breath of wind. Apart from two shortish attempts at sailing, have had to motor all night

Still, a very memorable trip. The Azores islands look magnificent from the sea. Pico the standout but then Sao Jorge is like a huge wall. Like Table Mountain running on for miles. We had some great sailing thanks to Chris Tibbs steering round the high pressure as far as he could. Then an unforgettable and very blustery night in the Portuguese trades. The Spanish Low had pushed out into the Atlantic narrowing the isobars.

A very large cooked breakfast consumed to empty the fridge and Lagos beckons for a late lunch and maybe a beer or two.

Nina safely back in Europe.
