A long time ago Maggie and I worked on this very ship.  In fact 40 years ago in 1977 when she was brand new and named CUNARD PRINCESS and trading between New York and Bermuda, we held our engagement party on the port bridge wing in Hamilton, Bermuda!  

Seeing the ship again after all these years brings back a mix of memories - of too many friends no longer with us and some really  embarrassing escapades.  

One highlight was when we wereon the same pier in New York as the QE2  Our engine crew stole the ship’s bell from the QE2, and this despitele all the security.  We all had our photos taken with the bell before landing it back to the New York agents the following week   Other adventures are too many to mention and probably too close to the bone anyway.

This ship also very nearly killed Charlie all those years ago when he was overcome by gas in one of the sewage tanks - what a way to go!
