ALKIRA is laid up under shrinkwrap plastic covers in the lane behind the Marina under the care and attention of Colin Pugh of Kurnow Yacht Charters.

Most of the winter work is now done there are a few outstanding repairs to do on the topsides in the spring.  I have a new galley stove to install, and a range of minor outfitting work to complete once I get down to the boat in April.  Billy (BT Electronics) from Falmouth is in the process of fitting a new AIS and sat phone communications outfit.

We are booked to be launched on 29 April, 2013.  And then the adventure begins.

Maggie and I are still in Shanghai I have another 72 days work to go before I retire as a partner from Brookes Bell.  We fly home, at long last and 20 April, 2013!
