We had a long but very enjoyable passage from Nettorno to the Gaeta Peninsula (very pretty and dramatic). This was a 49nm passage tha took 7 hours including a 1/2 hour swim stop. We had 9-11 knots of breeze at about 70 degrees so we motor sailed with the jib out - this gave us good stability and a boat speed of about 8.3 knots. We could have sailed this on a close reach all the way but would only have done 6-7 knots and would have extended the passage time too much. Also the boys now getting use to the boat - proper sailing soon hopefully.

Harry relaxing on the 50m passage!

Jack driving on the 50m passage (land was not in sight so Jack had to get used to steering by compass and got on very well)

William getting used to sailing

Swim stop - Harry jumping of the boat - the next act was a full somersault which shocked Mum and Dad but was very impressive - unfortunatley we did not get in on camera! (next time)

Clive - walking on water??

The sunbathing boys - now competing for the sun and the best tan!

The dramatic Gaeta peninsula (we are moored just round the corner)
