Well the "little hop around the corner" was to quote The Skipper "A baptism of Fire"  32 knot winds on the nose, rough seas, rain and after 3+ hours, getting cold!  On the plus side, for some strange reason, Studland Bay is  almost empty so no trouble finding space to anchor  The cockpit is festooned with soggy oilies and we all collapsed in the cabin for a hot beverage of choice and a delve into the biscuit box.  An early (5 a.m.) start tomorrow to cross the channel.  That is, of course, unless plans and therefore the course, changes following discussions re the weather forecast, which though better that today's is still showing 20+ knots of wind with 'occasional' gust of 34 knots....and starting off wet - Nice.
So - watch this space, we could be anywhere by tomorrow teatime Smile emoticon xxx Lynn (who wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the combined effects of The brilliant Relief Band*** and Stugeron tablets)  ** No, a watch type thingy which gives out electrical pulse on your pulse points, as opposed to being 2019's answer to Mr Geldoff's Band Aid
