We sailed into Caleta del Sebo yesterday morning and were tied up by 11.00 with the help of a security guard, who had directed us to the berth, and various other helpers. It did prove to be a little difficult backing in with the strong cross wind and so the help was most appreciated. The pilot book was full of details about having to book ahead so we had come just in hope but we found there is plenty of space and a warm welcome.

As we have now completed another section of the voyage we are now in holiday mood. We found a good restaurant last night and ate well on paella. Unfortunately what appear to be the 2 good restaurants in Graciosa  are both closed tonight so we may be reduced to the tourist cafes along the front of the harbour.

So today has been a day of rest and exercise. We walked along the southern shore and up one of the 4 small peaks on this island, it was only 172 metres high, but has helped to get some tone back into our legs after 5 days at sea. The island is a lovely tranquil if barren place with white cottages and sand roads throughout the town. Lots of tourists arrive by ferry but they don't seem to venture far from the harbour front.

Off to Arrecife tomorrow, so some sight seeing and more relaxation.
