Hi to anyone who reads this blog. I am restarting it because we are about to set off to return Christine to the UK. The ‘we’ are myself, Peter the skipper, Lynn who I’m sure you all know, Ian and Manuela. Ian and Manuela have their own yacht, Mister X, which they have just sailed to Trinidad to be laid up for a couple of months while they help Lynn and I to sail home.

Lynn and I have had 2 seasons in the Caribbean and this voyage will be Lynn’s first long significant passage. We sailed into San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico last Saturday and Ian & Manuela arrived from Trinidad on a much delayed flight early on Tuesday morning. Wednesday was a day spent exploring the exquisite old town of San Juan. Yesterday was the start of the provisioning which we completed today together with clearing out of customs and immigration. Our intention is to leave here and sail first to Bermuda, spend a few days there and, weather permitting, set off direct to the UK. So with luck and a fair wind we will arrive at the very end of May or early June.
