Just rounded Cabo Ortegal and the Pta de los Aguillons,
very impressive sight and highlights what a dangerous coast this could
be.
We left Vivero this morning with a forecast of 5 knts
westerly so decided to have an easy day motoring to Cedeira. In the event, when
we got out of the Ria we found a wind nearer to 20 knts but still from the west
so it has made the journey somewhat less relaxing and slower. Nevertheless we
were not moved to try sailing the 25 miles to windward. It has been a very dull
grey drizzly day more like Scotland than what we hope to find in
Spain.
We had an excellent lunch of Peter N's home made
vegetable soup. Good to know that the food processor and inverter are being put
to good use.
Looking forward to a quiet anchorage in Cedeira.
