We have had a lovely 2 weeks sailing with Sue and Terry and have tried to make the best of the local cruising but spending most of the time in holiday mode. Having got to Graciosa we have been to Calero, Lobos, Castillo and Marina Rubicon. Terry Oliver joined us on the 21st September and Sue and Terry R left on the 22nd. We spent most of the day on the 23rd doing the washing etc.
The combined crew. With S & T's bags packed.
We left Marina Rubicon yesterday, in light winds, with the intention/hope of anchoring Playa de Pozo Negro. Running down the coast with just the genniker flying we had a good sail. Unfortunately with the wind was building together with the seas, which were coming from the port quarter. This gave a decidedly corkscrew motion and in due course Lynn retired to her bunk. All was well as she shortly reappeared perfectly recovered.

Pozo Negro was completely unsuitable as there was too much east in the wind and the seas were rolling into the bay. So with the wind now gusting 30 knots we continued on to Gran Tarajal. We had an excellent evening and meal in the port fish restaurant, (you certainly need to like garlic round here) before retiring for a well earned sleep. Peter.
