In fact it is now less than 100 miles to our waypoint
off the north end of Lanzarote and we are flying along under 2 poled out genoas,
'wing on wing' which we have been doing now for more than 22 hours, most of the
time with both full sails but sometimes having one rolled a little when it
gets too exciting. We are going to call into Isla Graciosa as we would like to
stay at Caleta del Sebo tomorrow, Sunday, but apparently you need prior
permission which having read the pilot book seems practically impossible to get.
We'll at least get to have a look.
We've seen more dolphins, there seem to be plenty about
around here and we are trying our luck again with the fishing line. We are
using a different lure which stays near to the surface so I suspect we are going
too fast. I've delegated fishing although I still seemed to be involved in
dealing with them when they came aboard. Peter L.
