                | 28:23.5N 13:51.4W Yesterday we had a brilliant sail down to Gran Tarajal
where we moored in the practically empty marina to the very load music of the
local fiesta, which finally seemed to close down at 04.30. As we arrived the
North Easterly was blowing hard and after two attempts to reverse into the
berth, we were offered another which enabled us to moor head to wind having
approached bows head to the wind rather than trying to reverse downwind. It
still took 2 further attempts to get in safely. Sailing south of course round here is great fun and
marvellous sailing as the wind is always behind us. We are now making our way
back north, ie against the wind and the current. It took us 7 hours to sail the
17 miles to get here to Castillo (we logged 37 through the water), which has
turned out to be a lovely little harbour but we are very lucky to have found
space. Tomorrow we have about 20 miles north to do just to get
us back to Lobos. |
