Well, it's the other Peter here again.  We sailed up from Arrecife to Puerto Calero this morning - a short sail of only 2 1/2 hours so we arrived here by 13:00. Luckily, for once, since Puerto Calero is linked to Arrecife, the registration was reduced to just 5 minutes from the usual 20-30 minutes (and that's after completing the two page form detailing boat and crew).

Tomorrow we expect to move on to Isla de Lobos, just off the northern coast of Fuerteventura.

Our skipper will have 5 days in port between our departure and the arrival of Sue, Terry and Lynn. The choice is between the island's capital, Arrecife, and here - the resort village of Puerto Calero. Does he still have his spirit of adventure, will he choose the authentic Canarian experience .... or, does he feel homesick, and so will choose to stay with the English tourists where he can enjoy English breakfast (eggs, beans, bacon, the works), REAL English tea and scones at the Cafè de la Plaza, and then a wide choice of dinner options: Fish and chips, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, and there's even a Spanish restaurant. Only time will tell which one he opts for!!
