Pipedream

We left St Thomas right on time yesterday and motor sailed the 11 miles or
so to St John's. We arrived at Cruise Bay where George and Joann had a
three night luxury hotel booked. We grabbed a mooring ball here in the
harbor and ended up paying somebody to use it for two nights. Unpacking the
dingy that had not been used since maybe Ibiza on the way into Spain. The
motor fired on the first pull even using the year old gas we had left.
Whatever I paid Geno in Rome to fix it, was a bargain.

Joann and George made us a grand rib eye steak dinner on board and we
managed to polish off several beers and two bottles of rum. Yah maan! This
morning we ran ashore and picked up George and Joann at breakfast, bought
some more rum and went to a bay recommended by Peter from St Thomas.
Everyone went snorkeling and we spent the whole day getting roasted in the
sun, drinking rum drinks, and cooling off in the sea. Came back tonight and
everyone except me went ashore for showers at the hotel. My turn will be
when we return George and Joann tonight after our last dinner aboard
Pipedream before we leave for Puerto Rico tomorrow. I am starting to
realize that my adventure is coming to an end with George's departure.
Jesse is doing well. Today was pretty rough on the way over and he came
through it in great shape. We went through rope coiling and cleating and
some of the finer points of honking on the Genoa... We saw two boats today
from Colorado... must be the Jesse karma.

Next peg points are to pick Bill Stellin up in San Juan on the 27th and
Jesse's departure from San Juan on the 29th. After that it's 10 days rum
line to Jacksonville from Puerto Rico. Not sure we will even stop in the
Bahamas. More later.
