We were able to get a birth at the Port Vel l (pronounce Bay) Marina in Barcelona to store the boat for the winter and will be based here through March 1st. Mary is flying out tomorrow from Madrid and I will be going with her to do the town before she leaves. George has booked a flight back to Chicago for the 18th. Chris is trying to get to Amsterdam and will likely be leaving around the 18th that is if he gets two months worth of laundry done in time. Wonder what there might be to do in Amsterdam? You can imagine what the boat looks like with 5 of us living on it for months... Matt is hanging around for a few more weeks to help me clean up and do some maintenance. He may also make the Tomatilla festival in Valencia. The festival is billed as the world's best food fight. What else can you do with all those over ripe tomatoes? I will likely be here until the last week in October. My sister Karen will be visiting for a good chunk of October. We will likely do some day sailing maybe to Minorca or more of the coast.

Last night we went to a Flamenco dinner and show. The show was real fun, dancing and all the sangria you can drink. The meal was less than stellar with sardines, fried random fish, and fish parts as the main course. We are all a little foggy this morning. We will be moving the boat to a permanent slip on Saturday and should have a good DSL connection then. We'll be able to use skype much better. It is hard taking to someone on your computer in a crowded bar with all the background noise and half the place part of your conversation. I think I'll sign up for the bicycle exchange deal. There are maybe a hundred bike stations around town where you can pick up or drop off rental bikes. You get a computerized card for 30 euros a year and the other guy maintains the bikes and there is always one where ever you go. (that's what they say...)
