After waiting all Sunday morning for the blow that never came we rigged the dingy and went ashore for some internet cafe and lunch. We dinged up to the private beach in front of a hotel, pulled the dingy up on the beach and walked to a nearby bar. After about three tries we found a bar with wifi and plopped down for a beer an a maquito.

We were able to pull recent weather and make sure America was still out there. Looking around we found ourselves on the beach surrounded by Ibiza beach life and numerous 'Waldos'. Definitely a much younger crowd here in Ibiza then say in Barcelona. After checking out a couple of more bar/cafes we found lunch, back to the internet cafe to use up the rest of Mike's credit and about then I noticed the wind starting to come up and announced it was a good time to get back to the boat. We were back on board around 6 PM. Since it was Sunday we didn't get much business done but had a nice relaxing shore leave.

Two hours later it was blowing about 30 kts when I looked up out the side window and noticed a boat slowly passing us. My first impression was that more boats were comming in out of the blow. It turned out to be the big catamaran that had been anchored in front of us dragging it's anchor. It just missed us by a couple of feet. Mike and I scrambled up on deck to see a guy at the wheel steering to avoid us. His anchor was still in the water and my next concern was to see if he had hook our anchor as he went by. Everything held and the cat re-anchored again in front of us. As it was getting dark I decided to rig my spare 'big' anchor just in case. After moving a ton of gear we managed to have it ready complete with chain and a length of anchor rhode. I checked the latest weather and it looked like it would blow through our position by 2 AM so we settled in for a blustery evening.

We watched the wind gizmo hit 38 kts with spikes of near 60. I don't believe the 60 but it makes a good story. Things started to settle down about midnight and when we awoke this morning we were still in paradise. Just glad I had not gotten so impatient that we had left before the blow...
