We rose at the crack of dawn and made it to Elba Island before the wind
really got going. Came in around 12:30 and did the worst docking of this
leg so far. Got caught in a cross wind when another sail boat came out at
about 4 kts and then proceeded to wind a submerged rope around the prop to
the point where I had no reverse. Very bad. They sent over a diver who may
have time to look at it around 6:00 PM. 50 Euros to look at it 120 to fix
anything... I was going to invest in a wet suit for just such and event
(should a wooda ) Tomorrow is Sunday and if he doesn't show up today we will
be stuck here for a while. Got another diver no line on the prop.

Giglio the place we just left turned out to be the unexpected gem of the
trip so far. One of the guide books said they try to limit the number of
tourist on the island. Great castle that has been completely restored and condowed off.

Exchanged contact information with the Badge people and set off this morning (5/24) for Corsica. Still a little undecided weather to go to Bastia or
Taverna. Will likely go to Bastia because it looks bigger and is likely to have bus service to the rest of the island. More later.
