Pretty uneventful after we left Antiqua. Lots of islands out here I have
never heard of... like Nevis and ST Eustatius and Saba... plenty of
opportunities for tourist development professionals.
.
We changed up our watch schedule with John gone. Matt put out the fishing
rig this morning bright and early. I is time for his first solo. The fun
begins when you hear the reel's drag start singing.

Pretty mellow sailing last night. I put the engine in idle and was still
going 4 to 5 kts. I turned it off and after the prop feathered we were
doing a consistent 5 kts. We have turned the frig back on and are now using
the engine to charge the batteries and the fridge. We all spent our watches
last night munching through our very favorites on the new grocery inventory.
I had a whole tube of sateen's and a Dr. Pepper.

A comment on Antiqua. We have definitely crossed the Atlantic. Everyone
speaks some kind of English even though when at full speed it is worse than
the folks from south Georgia. The grocery store ... biggest on the island,
was definitely where the rich folks went. Lots of prosperous looking folks
socializing in every isle. The store looked just like our super Wal-Mart
but only the grocery part. Lots of American brands Wesson oil, Skippy, and
even paper towels that fit in my paper towel dispenser. On the down side...
no cheap olive oil, olives, or bulk nut. The power standard has also
change from 220 to 110. I will have to rewire the boat before I plug it in
again. Anyone want a George Foreman, eclectic tooth brush, or a hot plate
that runs on 220? I should have disposed of them before we left Spain like
the bicycle. All for now.
