Katie and I are on a roll. We left Amalfi this morning after filling up
with diesel hopefully for the last time until we get to Greece. Katie was at
the helm pulling out of the slip. We put up all the sails and sailed about
20 degrees off out course but were able to hold 5 knots for about an hour
and a half when we started the motor so we could get back on course for
Agropoli.

Docked at almost the same place as the last time I was in Agropoli. My
backing up was a little off but Katie hit it like a veteran. Kind of a
squish docking where we had to push two boats apart to back in between them.
We went into town and located the bus to Pasteum (best Greek ruins in
Italy... ) and will go back in the AM to go there. No one speaks English
here so I hope we have the right bus.

Spent about an hour doing the navigation to Messina to figure out when we
had to leave to get to Stramboli at night to see the volcano, and then to
arrive at the straights around sun rise - go through the straights during
the day without getting run over by one of the hundreds of ferries supposed
to be crossing there, and then tie up in Respoto under Mt. Etna around 4:30
PM after two days at sea. This should be good. Looks like we are still
pretty close to our original schedule. But maybe not - I just looked at the
weather and the wind could pretty much be on our nose tomorrow. More
fuel...
