Arrived safely in Finike marina last night about 9 pm. Another successful night docking into a port we had never seen. Great way to start this leg of the trip... why change now. They came out in a dingy to help us get tied up... you got love Turkey.

We were both a little nervous as we had been laying around getting fat for the last several months but I guess this is just like riding a bicycle as they say. Left Kemer with three other boats to a rousing send off from friends left behind. Elisa on Three Rivers shouted 'first out' as the dock hands got to their boat first. We waited at the fuel dock for almost an hour to take on some diesel - glad we did. We left making just over 5 kts and when the 20 plus kt sea breeze came up on our nose we were slowed down to under 3 kts at times. We turned the corner and were able to set sail for a 6 plus kt run into Finike.

We're going to clean up and stow some stuff before hitting the sites... night sails/docking are pretty taxing on neatness and storage. After dinner in the Amphora (Fodor's and a boater we ran into, my 7 out of 10) I was literally asleep before my head hit the pillow.
