Left Ios this morning at o dark thirty so we could get to the next anchorage in day light. We had about 15 - 20 kts of wind on our beam and were actually able to sail the boat with the motor off doing 7.5 kts at times. After studying a couple of different weather forecasts we decided to make a run for it. Last night in Ios we had a full scale thunder storm.

We anchored in a little cove/bay, Panormos, surrounded by a rocky shore line with straight up hill and goats grazing all over the hills. This just what I thought a Greek island would be. Calibungus! Chuck grilled some Greek sausages we bought last nigh on the Magma grill.

We tried to connect to civilization but there are no bars on either the cell phone or the internet dongle. I am tired but on the first night at anchor I know I'll have trouble sleeping. As I think about sleep, I can hear goats making goat sounds and occasionally the sound of the bell they wearer under their necks.
