We are anchored in a little anchorage, the next island south of Corfu, Paxoi. It was my intention to get out of Corfu at 6 AM as it looked like we had about 10 hours to Preveza our next planned stop. Two things prevented this... we didn't get underway until about 10:30 AM and the day before we ran into one of Bill Stelin's friends Andrew and Jannis Barristi from the boat Rascal of Rhu. Andrew spent at least an hour with us giving us pointers on our next several intended ports. He suggested we stop at Paxoi to break up the trip... good idea. He suggested the next port down this island Gaios but we pulled into Lakka when a squall hit reducing visibility to less than a mile at around 6 PM. So we anchored here and instead of going ashore, Katie decided to cook up a big batch of pasta and Italian sausage. Our last bottle of Sicilian wine and we almost didn't even notice the rain. The rain has slowed and it looks like we even can get internet at this spot. Tomorrow we will push on to Pervaza and hopefully the ruins at Nikopolis a city built by Octavian to mark his victory over Antony at Atium. Andrew also showed us the Lavas cannel that looks like it could save us a day of travel time.

The propeller seems to be going into forward and reverse. I won't know if it will feather while sailing... but that seems like a pretty small issue compared to not being able to get the boat into reverse and stopped while docking.
