Well we set out for Ponza so George could enjoy one last anchorage before heading for the big cities. Forecast 8 to 10 kts beam reach... the real deal 21 kts on the nose as usual. Pretty good chop we could only make about 3 to 4 kts. Got to Ponza in the dark 9:30 PM pushed up to the anchorage to find out the depth sounder would not show realistic numbers. We made dinner in the leeh of the island, kabobs on the grill, rice and stir fry. We pushed on to Anzio about another 20 miles or so - rockin and rollin all the way. Arrived this morning around 7:30 AM. The fuel dock guy made us a smokin deal on a slip and after a pretty good docking at the first one, we got to go to the correct slip for another pretty good docking... the caption and crew are finally getting it - practice practice.

A big thanks to Bill Stellin again for recommending Nettuno. A very new big marina within easy transportation of Rome and at only 30 euros - I am still waiting for someone to kick us out figuring the dock guy rented us one cheap he did not own. Showers and laundry for everyone!

We'll explore around here today. This is the site of the Allied landing on mainland Italy. 7,600 buried around here some place (thank you guys...)

Happy mother's day to all the mothers out there especially mine! Well be making some calls today if we can get the internet working. We now have a Vodaphone internet dongle that I will try to fire up as soon as I get this done. All for now...
