After our last report we spent the night drifting with little or no wind.  Chris and I were on watch at about 3 AM and say a light low in the horizon through a cloud bank that we were sure was an approaching freighter.  We had little maneuverability so I started the engine to motor away from it.  Turns out we were trying not to be run over by Venus...

We got weather from Herb the next day who was surprised we had not made more distance.  I explained we were becalmed and needed some wind.  Boy did he deliver!  It started last night with a little breeze from the south and now is blowing about 25 Kits.  We have taken a couple of reefs and all is well.

Phil's knees are bothering him and well see if we can rustle up an orthopedic guy when we get to Bermuda.  Waiting on another forecast from Herb.  Sailor's life too much or too little.  Have to be more careful what I wish for in the future.
