Arrived safely on the south east point of the island of Sardinia. 12:56 AM 4/16/10. Another successful night landing. Had to thread our way through at least seven anchored oil tankers with 21 knots of wind on our nose as usual. Found a slip in the dark and attempted to back in, in a cross wind. . Blew it and ended up docking side to American style. We'll fix it in the morning. Keep trying, yes I have no pride left by now, everyone comes out to help the 'new boat' and see how the other guy does... but have not dented anything or anyone, yet.

Went ashore in search of that hamburger in paradise. Eating apples and hard boiled eggs will do that to you after a couple of days. All the food places were closed. Had a 'grande' beerie and back to the boat where Antony our official Sicilian made us some pasta to celebrate George's birthday. He keeps trying to forget but the way I see it, lots of guys more or less our age never get to see 61... there I said it. Oopa!

I have just got to learn how to get better weather here in the Med. The GRIB computer forecasts I used across the Atlantic just are not working for us. We don't have internet here yet and my cell phone has lost all it's charge so we will have to ruff it for awhile. More later.
