Well as Bruce would say "my fun meter is about pegged." I think we are all
ready to be there. The really strong trades 20 plus kts of wind have pooped
out and we are now in something like 10 to 18s blowing out of the east. We
are still having to tack across the wind field to keep our sails pulling
which ultimately adds a lot of extra miles to the trip.

I think I have solved my battery problem. I just need to run the gen longer
to keep up with the auto pilot draw? I have been running the gen longer and
the voltage has been creeping up there. Now if I had only installed that
'water engine' so I had enough fuel.

George was able to repair our last fishing pole with copious amounts of
Gorilla 110 mph duct tape, and plastic tubing. Now if John can just do his
thing and land us another 30 pound fish we'll eat pretty well for the next
couple of days. We have entered the Sargasso weed fields and he is having
to clean the 'ceder plug' about every half hour. If not, the canned tuna
left over from Bermuda three or four years ago will just have to do. Last
night George whipped up some spinach, rice, canned chicken breast, and
carrot surprise. This morning there are still left over's sitting on the
stove. I wonder why?

The motion down here is 100% better. There is about a 5 foot swell running
but it is organized and all coming from the same direction. Yesterday we
were all talking in the cockpit about the first things we wanted when we got
to shore. Salad, steak, and a hot shower were pretty high on most lists.
Haven't seen a ship in at least 5 days. We should sight land in two more
days... that is if we really are where we think we are. more later.
