Homeward bound... Looks like this will be my last day in Almerimar this year. I am scheduled to get on the night bus to Madrid and then a 10 AM flight to Atlanta if all goes according to plan. It has been a world wind leg this time with Katie and Mary as we blew through Turkey, the Greek Islands, and Sicily and then with Mike as we sailed over 1000 miles back to Spain. When I finally get home I'll take a look at some of the thousands of pictures we shot on this leg... the only way I can remember all the stuff I have seen. The piles of rocks just seem to blur together after a while.

Plan 'A' is to come back to Almerimar the first week of January and try to sail for the Barbados via the Canary / Cape Verde Islands along the African west coast. George, Matt, and John have all pretty much signed on and a good time will be had by all... or else. Then work the boat through the windward and leeward islands to Florida by spring. Some of the stuff on Pipedream is getting pretty tired after almost four years of continuous use and it's time to 'refit'. I have now rebuilt the toilet four times... keep pumping. I am also running out of spare electrical connectors and duct tape. I have the sail maker/rigger comming by this morning before we leave to look at a couple of jobs before our next sail. Bye for now.
