We received a
very warm welcome at Haifa - in the current climate Israel seems keen
to make much of our visit to prove they are not the baddies everyone seems to
think they are.
We went inland to
the Sea of Galillee and the River Jordan where John the Baptist baptised
Jesus.

We were
invited to spend an evening with a local family and we were made very
welcome. They showed us around Haifa and then took us back to their
apartment for dinner. It was a very nice evening, and there was some
interesting discussion of current affairs from the Israeli point of view.
A very worthwhile experience.
