Weighed anchor 10.30 and it took 15 minutes to get the mud and weed off the chain and anchor before we could leave!  Just shows it pays to keep trying till you know it's well set!

We called Concerto on the VHF to bid them au revoir - they are off down the Evia channel at a faster pace than us as they have some friends to meet up with in Lavrion on the 25th - but no answer - were they still in bed??!!  Ten minutes later they called us to say goodbye, explaining that they had been so busy they hadn't turned on their VHF yet.  Hmmm.

We were headed for Orei, just 10 miles south on the North coast of Evia.  No wind again so the iron topsail went up and we motored across flat calm water with spectacular views on all sides.  We would put more photos in the blog of the scenery, but we can just not do justice to what we see.  It takes your breath away.

By lunchtime we were bows to in the very nice harbour in Orei.  There is a beach just a stone's throw across the harbour wall, tavernas line the shore and there's a supermarket, butchers and bakers so we decided to stay a couple of days to enjoy it.

With no Bank or ATM in the town, we took a ride to the main town 6km inland and had a wander round.  We passed a big LIDL on the way, but decided we didn't need to stock up on any provisions and gave it a miss.

We had to drag ourselves away from Orei as we liked it so much.  We had a go at capturing a bit of the most beautiful sunsets we were treated to each evening, so you will see what we mean about not being able to do it justice!
