Kerrie & Lee
arrived safely this afternoon, and we were amazed at how little baggage they
had! It must be a first for Kerrie that her bag was underweight by 5
kilos, and that included some stuff we had asked her to bring for us (mango
chutney, marmite...)!
It's lovely to have
them on board and we are really looking forward to spending the week with them
and doing a bit of gentle sailing too.
Kerrie was not
convinced she would fit her stuff into the little bit of locker space we had
available, but it's surprising how much you can fit into them, and soon her bag
was empty. Lee, on the other hand, decided his bag would be his wardrobe
and didn't bother to unpack!
We went for a walk
around the town and had dinner in the pizza restaurant just across the road from
the boat. For dessert we went back to the ice-cream shop Lee had spotted
earlier, and wandered back to the boat along the quayside enjoying delicious
ice-creams.
We chatted about how
much sailing they wanted to do, where they wanted to go and what other things
they wanted to do, and went to bed with a plan sorted. We would be off in
the morning to Loutraki on Skopelos - just 7 nautical miles away - a short hop
to get the feel of the boat.
