Arrived in Peniche only 5 minutes adrift of our estimated time for the leg - not bad going considering the range of wind and weather we experienced on the way. Moored alongside Blue Beyond with plenty of fenders to cushion the boats from the wash of the fishing boats that zoom in and out with apparently no regard for a speed limit!
Had dinner of fish stew in a restaurant near to the marina. The stew was served up in an enormous saucepan and was meant for two people but would probably have fed four! Steve and I did our best but it beat us big time. Had a wander round the town today which is rather nice - narrow cobbled streets and numerous restaurants. Lunch al fresco. Found a cafe with wi-fi and caught up on some domestic business and emails - still more to do but the laptop battery gave up, so they will have to wait till we get to the next stop.
Speaking of which, we will be on the move again tomorrow bound for Oeiras which is just outside Lisbon. Tonight we have a civic reception and prize giving to go to - mustn't be too late to bed, although it's quite a late start tomorrow morning at 11 so we shall see...
