Distance run in 24 hours: 132
Total distance run: 713
Distance left: 155

Nothing particular to report in the last 24 hours. We have sailed for 22 of those hours, most at a good speed. The seas calmed down during the afternoon yesterday and it was a comfortable night with a bright gibbous moon and millions (trillions? gzillions?) of stars.

We recommissioned the watermaker and it is desalinating water for us at about 20 litres per hour (though with a very slight leak which we will address in Cape Verde). This means we will be able to replace the water in the tanks with pure desalinated water rather than risk contaminating them with local water of unknown quality. We don't buy bottled water as we have an excellent Seagull water filter with a dedicated drinking water tap in the galley which filters out just about anything worrisome, but avoiding local water which may be questionable still seems an excellent idea.
