Day 72: Saturday 15 January 2010. Private house, Accra,
Ghana. Distance driven 0 km
We could get used to the luxury of living in a house
again! Lots of space, a washing machine, hot showers, air conditioning, a
fridge full of cold beers, what luxury! Within minutes of arriving on
Friday night the gate guards had washed the Land Rover without being asked. It
was quite embarrassing really, as next morning it was surrounded by a pile of
red dirt on the immaculate paving stones.
We had a very relaxed day doing about 5 loads of
washing then visiting Accra Mall, which could easily have been in Johannesburg.
Later we visited another South African expat for a braai, complete with
borrewors and had a very convivial evening drinking beers outside on his
balcony.
