We had a quiet Sunday in Dakar. The place where we are staying is in a suburb (Yoff) by the sea and things start late on a Sunday.  We wandered off to explore and get a few groceries and passed a wonderful French patisserie where we bought fresh baguettes and pain chocolat which we munched in the cyber cafe while Skyping Emma. We had been complaining about the heat and humidity but considered ourselves lucky when we heard about the atrocious snow conditions in the UK!

I had an idle afternoon while Jenny worked, and brushed up a few French words in readiness for our confrontation with Customs tomorrow. Our plan is to head for the Mali frontier just as soon as we get our car papers in order. We are finding Senegal very expensive after Morocco and Mauritania - third world environment with French prices!
