Interesting weather, thought the Pacific was the
peaceful ocean!
Today we have had several small squalls, but others
in the fleet have had more serious ones.
We are going through what is called a low pressure
trough, on some weather info it is called the ITCZ or Doldrums as it was known.
Its a band of lower pressure which allows convection of seewater into clouds.
There is a lot of energy in this process and thats where the wind comes from. We
are hopeful of getting throught this tonight into some more consistent winds, it
has got better this afternoon, so heres hoping.
We have only seen a few sea birds and flying fish,
or Exocets today, no Dolphins, Whales, or anything else. Fishing
tomorrow, who knows if we catch anything, will let you know
tomorrow.
