Las Perlas Islands

We sailed from La Playita Marina Panama City on
Saturday to Contadura Island at the northern end
of the Las Perlas group of islands. Great sail and anchorage. very beautiful and
much less crowded than San Blas.
Monday we sailed and motored to an
anchorage between Isla Chapera and Moga Mogo, many of the WARC fleet had
been there but had moved on so there was Garlix, and Allegro plus a couple of
other cruisers. That changed late in the day when Pentagram, Makena and Aretha
arrived en mass preceded by Juno who had lsft for another anchorage but decided
this was far better. Stella and Dain swam ashore to the beach while
I cleaned the waterline, which Dain helped to finish off later. Need to
have a very clean hull for Galapagos otherwise they charge to put a diver down
to clean.
The sun is out but hopefully a breeze will develop
to take some of the heat out of the day.
