We had a great nights sleep after an epic pilotage
into the San Blas Islands, Mike, a South African who has been here for two years
gave some great advice and at 1300 we had a radio net where he gave a lot more
advice re wherer to anchor etc.
It seems that the beautiful tranquility has been
disturbed by a lot of commercial operations and maybe we are visiting at the
last opportunity. We of course are part of the problem of exploitation,
but we do try to minimse our effect.
We have just moved from one good, but slightly roly
anchorage to one that was challenging to get to, dodging reefs that are in the
wrond place on the electronic charts is always fun. We are however safe and
sound, surrounded by reefs, and small tropical islands, if the sun is out
tomorrow, then the sight will be spectacular. Swimming tomorrow, with
sharks, barracudas and apparenty a crocodile. Let you know how we are
getting on with that.
