We departed Bequia just after midnight into a rather black night despite approximately a half moon which was shielded by cloud. As we steadily raised the anchor we found Carango getting VERY close to a large catermarin which had plonked its anchor up wind of us to settle just over our anchor. A somewhat antisocial time of night to awaken anyone so we waited a few moments until the wind brought both yachts round sufficient for them to clear our anchor and slipped off into the night as quietly as possible.

Dawn found us approaching St Lucia and we decided to take a leisurely breakfast/brunch on board of the South West coast at Soufrière.
Only to find others, a little larger than us had the same idea.

The tall ship “Sea Cloud” in full sails in front and the sharper Piton behind.  Sea Cloud is 110 meters long and was built in 1931 in Germany. She still looks very elegant.

Tricia has now joined the Carango crew.

We are spending a few days - gathering the fleet - and relaxing at an extremely luxurious resort co-located with the Marigot Bay Marina - full pool bar and restaurants [fabulous prices but what the hell we have nearly sailed around the World].
With the younger crew of yacht “Into the Blue” -

We are being briefed on how to behave for the final “Parade of Sail” to complete our circumnavigation.
