We have passed South of the Tropic of Cancer (23 degrees North) in the last few days and we can feel the difference in sheer heat. All jerseys and jackets and coats have been put away.

FILMS  The first film screening was “Saving Grace” which was brilliant and today we have “Casino Royale”. What no-one on watch!! - well it’s a big Ocean.

Just before dusk we came across a Norwegian yacht “Tamara” and chatted to them on VHF - they were eating a Norwegian dish of pickled cabbage - we were happy to be on Carango, where Clive was preparing a delicious salad after Andrew’s superb roast lamb for Sunday lunch. We have eaten like kings. I’m not yet convinced that this trip will be a weight loss affair.

CAPTION COMPETITION

We have decided to run a best caption competition for these photographs

The left has the pole in sight. Mercifully we were not within striking range of the all girl racing crew who are probably in St Lucia by now but look what they are missing.
