Just before sunset with the orb low in the sky ahead of westbound Carango the cry of “Dolphin” went up.

The crew all deserted the cockpit and they went to the bow:

 Andrew in the bow seat, Willy at the yankee sail fuller and Clive at the staysail they waited and watched:

 This was the reward - the biggest pod of dolphins I have ever seen - all powering effortlessly under the bow - playing for a good half hour - they were so unbelievably athletic and unbelievably fast. They jumped clean out of the water and did some amazing acrobatics - then as quickly as quicly as they came they went. A dusk whiskey and water summonsed us all back to the cockpit.
