14:43.96N 57:32.24 It seems strange that we have nearly crossed our first major Ocean and it has been an amazing experience. Early this morning we had a visit from a Northern Gannet - a large and elegant bird in flight;he circled us a few times and then flew off towards the sun. We have seen and attempted to identify a number of seabirds on our crossing - various Gulls, a Bulwers Petrel and now the Northern Gannet and of course many which we could not properly identify. The deliver crew have performed in an exemplary manner - if all the crews are as brilliant as this one the I will have little difficulty in completing my circumnavigation. It has been a model of peaceful cooperative and charming co-existance - we have sailed well, eaten well, chatted volubly, played bridge, watched numerous films including Clint Eastwood and lots of Rowan Atkinson. It has been a great pleasure to have such company. We have experienced beautiful sunrises and sunsets. One can watch the sea for hours it is as mesmeric as gazing into a winter fire. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Skipper - well - he is very happily working away making it all go. |
