The wild life here is quite exceptional and it is an inspiring place - a few too many trippers, like us, ad this will of course get worse so we are probably just in time - the scheduling of boats and snorkel trips and walks is well done but we have ‘collided’ with other groups occasionally.  We dived with a seal pup just like this one - unbelievably fun and fast and elegant under water. Explorers extraordinaire Will and Janine toughing it out on North Plaza island. Vicky at the famous post office barrel on Floriana Island. There is a wonderful tale of romance and possible treachery with a German Baroness and her three lovers and a dentist and his wife on Floriana - they all planned to live the prefect idyllic life on the island but then disappeared in total mystery - a daughter is left and still lives in Floriana and owns the one small hotel but she will not talk about he demise of her parents or any of the history. The post barrel, according to our guide works rather better than Ecuadorian mail!!! |
