Carango glided into Gran Canaria ahead of schedule on 3rd October 2015.

The crew were exultant.The working party slaved away to restore Carango to her full glory after the crossing.

Real Club Nautico, courtesy of my new friend Jeorg Cantaro, proved to be a very relaxed and welcoming resting place - we enjoyed fine food, olympic size swimming pool and we would have enjoyed the well equipped gym but somehow the Irish Bar, to update on England’s glory in the World Cup Rugby, proved an irresistible draw.

 Now we return to England for a final month ashore before the circumnavigation.
