So we are now into the tropics.

Its been gorgeous weather the past couple days. All been outside lying on the top deck making the most of the sunshine. Its good to be wearing shorts and t-shirt again instead of 20 layers.

We had a little bit of wearing away on the main halyard, so we got that down the other day and chopped of about half a metre or so and re-hoisted. Have to keep an eye on that for any more wear and tears on the ropes.

We have some good wind this evening. Heading a bit more south before heading West towards the Caribbean.

We were looking at the latest weather chart today to see when the best chance was for us to have a quick swim. Doesnt look like we will be having really low winds for us to do that on this trip. We will definitly be checking each new wind chart to double check. But on the plus side there has been talk of a possibility to do a dive when we get to the British Virgin Islands. That will be exciting. Anythony and Rob can go of exploring while me and Warren can try it for the first time. Im so excited for this!

Another game of monopoly down but this time I was out early humiliated by Warren and finally Anthony took the game!!

We had smoked salmon risotto for tea this eve, cooked by Rob. Was very tasty, the only problem with smoked salmon risotto is the smell the salmon leaves in the galley area after. It tends to linger for a while. Ha.You get used to it!:)

So we are looking at some good wind for the next 24 hours then it will slowly drop off as we start to head West. Then it will be tanning time without getting rolled around on the deck or splashed! :) Amazing!!!

We are averaging 150nm a day at the moment which is good!

2807nm Done
1856nm to the British Virgin Islands

So we had an eventful evening. On my watch the wind picked up considerably to 30-35knots.  put the 3rd reef in the sail and jib. some pretty bumpy waves. I think Rob has been finding it hard to sleep in the forward cabin when we have a bit of swell. Bumping around like crazy. Then 4 hours later, completly different winds. it died and shifted round. Now only 2 reefs in the main and 1 in the jib. Start of my 2nd night watch as Warren put the engine onto charge we saw a flash of white light. Not quite sure were it came from or what it was, then about 10mins later saw it again. It didnt look like lightning. Very random.  I hope it wasnt anything on the boat
