The breeze has filled in and we are sailing after 60 hours of motoring. Lovely sunny sky. Tomorrow lunchtime we are expecting to be clipped by the southern end of a front and after that we will be heading directly to Madeira which will be our first stop. We expect to be there next weekend. 50 hour oil change on the engines, top up provisions, refuel, rewater and we are ready to go again.

Yesterday we motor sailed along the coastline of Portugal.  We could see the mountains and breakwater through the haze, very nice view of the country from the sea.

After dinner (Sicilian chicken) and throughout the night we encountered quite a number, and type of ship.  There were fishing boats throwing nets, trawlers possibly engaged in pair trawling with full lights on, general fishing boats, and some larger ships.  They all kept us on our toes keeping an eye out and avoiding.

Hope all are well!
