A good 24 hour run with 176nm covered. Yesterday we had dolphins around the boat. Proper large dolphins, not small porpoises. Today is lovely and warm although there is some cloud about. We have a 2m swell behind us which is giving nice surfs.

We are heading SW and should pass east of Madeira tomorrow. Our game plan is to get sufficiently south that we can head west south of the tropical low forming mid Atlantic. Although this will put us in light airs requiring us to motor, it is preferable to struggling in the 40-50 knot winds that will be in the low. We shound be able to make more westing once we reach 27N.
