This is true!
We "lost" one crew member due to bad weather and
bad temper.
I think the guy was scared of big
ships.
Every time he saw one he would go on raving
in Italian, his mother tongue, what I suspect was the Ave
Maria.
Being a girl and used to closing my eyes while
driving on the highway at 150km per hour every time I have to pass a large 16
wheeler is useful at sea.
When we pass large ships, I use the same
technique.
It works, I am not scared of large
ships.
Now we are 3, a nice number, and a happy
crew.
We left Cascais yesterday under the best weather
conditions.
Enjoyed a postcard sunset directly in mid
bow of the boat,
them the full moon rose directly in mid
aft.
It was awesome!
When I took up my watch at 2 am the full moon was
directly over the mast, like a very large mooring
light.
