Wind ENE F5
We have had a really good run for the first 24
hours with a NE-E wind giving us good speed in the right direction. A lovely
sunny day although it was cold. We had our first visitors about 6 hours out - a
group of about 6 porpoises who stayed with us for about 15 minutes.
Last night the stars were out on show and we had
another group of porpoises swim with us. Their bodies were lit up with
phosphorescence so they were like illuminated torpedoes twisting around the
boat.
This morning we have a grey sky but with luck the
sun will break through to warm us up.
We discovered our large fridge was set a bit too
cold and the milk froze and so did some of the lettuce. Hopefully it was just
some outer leaves and not all the way through, otherwise we have no salads to
look forward to. All being well we should have salad nicoise for lunch today
(plus some soup to provide warmth!).
Yes i t is a shame we dont have cold salads to eat
out here in a very cold biscay... what a shame we have to have a nice warm soup
instead!!
Sun broke through the clouds breifly about midday
and it keeps reappearing...just need the temperatures to rise so i can get
some well needed tanning time!!! |
