Yesterday afternoon the shackle, holding the block
for the external main halliard, broke so we have no main. There is too much
swell at the moment to replace it safely so we will wait until
Bermuda.
ETA Bermuda still Thursday, now late afternoon. We
will be in motoring range of Bermuda tomorrow afternoon (which is also when the
wind goes very light)
We saw 2 ships last night and a whale this morning. At first I thought it
was a shark because I saw only the fin, but then saw it blow. Although it was
only about 50m away I did not see enough to identify the species.
All this makes today Terrific Tuesday. |
